David Artuñedo (Telefónica)

David Artuñedo Guillén is a founding member of ETSI SDG OpenCAPIF. In Telefonica, he is leading 5G Projects with customers at Discovery inside Chief Digital Office exploring how to deploy 5G Private Networks and use cases with Telefónica Customers.

Prior to 5G projects, David has led OnLife Networks for re-architecting Central Offices as Data Centers, and he worked in Telefónica at several business units, including CTO for TU Go Communications Product (launched in O2 UK, Movistar Argentina, Perú, Colombia and Mexico, and VIVO Brazil), Technology Liasion Manager at Jajah in Israel, and Senior Manager on Communication Services at Telefónica Research and Development.

David Artuñedo received Computer Science Engineer of the Year in Castilla y León (Spain) from Computer Science Engineering Professional Association in 2010, and has been associate professor in Computer Science Engineering at Universidad de Valladolid.

Dr. Dimitris Tsolkas holds a Ph.D degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece. The last decade he has been supporting research and teaching activities at the Department. He currently leads research and development activities in Fogus Innovations & Services P.C, SME, Greece. He also has a chair in the Technology Board (TB) of the 6G-IA as well as in the ETSI SDG OCF (serving as vice-chair). His research publication record counts more than 60 articles in high quality journals, books, and conferences. His research interests include resource and service management for Mobile and IoT communication systems. Recently, the emphasis has been on architectural designs and performance analysis towards defining the beyond-5G networks.

Jorge Moratinos (Telefónica)

Jorge Moratinos Salcines is an R&D Expert Engineer in the Discovery Area at Telefónica Innovación Digital (TID). With over 14 years of experience, he has been dedicated to innovation projects in the field of communications, including NGIN, SS7 protocol, 3G, 4G, and 5G, within Telefónica. His versatile roles encompass developer, QA, Designer, and Architect. Furthermore, Jorge has demonstrated proficiency in project management, having successfully contributed to the Evolved5G EU-funded project. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in the initial CAPIF implementation, which serves as the foundation for OpenCAPIF, and continued to oversee the development and QA throughout the project’s duration

Apostolis Salkintzis (Motorola)

Dr. Apostolis Salkintzis received his Diploma and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. In 1999, he was a sessional lecturer and postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of British Columbia, Canada. He is currently working for Lenovo on defining and standardizing B5G/6G mobile communication systems and has been an active 3GPP contributor for 23 years. His primary research interests include mobile networking, IoT, and multi-access communication. Dr. Salkintzis holds over 100 US patents in the field of mobile communications. He has served as lead Guest Editor in a number of Special Issues, has published numerous original papers, has published four book chapters, and has authored and edited two books: Mobile Internet: Enabling Technologies and Services and Wireless Multimedia. Dr. Salkintzis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Dimitris Fragkos is a research associate and a PhD candidate at the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSRD) in collaboration with the University of Peloponnese. He has three years of experience in Horizon European projects with a focus on 5G network openness and programmability for verticals. His main research focus on the transformative potential of AI/ML in shaping the future of B5G/6G core network evolution.

Stavros Charismiadis (Fogus)

Stavros Charismiadis has followed postgraduate studies on communication systems and networks at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece. Currently, he is a software engineer in Fogus Innovation and Services P.C. with main expertise in microservice programming, API frameworks and cloud computing. As such, Stavros has been actively contributing to the implementation of CAPIF from day one. He is also very active in research and innovation activities with main interest on resource allocation and optimization schemes based on machine learning techniques.

Bruno Garcia (UMA)

Bruno is a Researcher at the University of Málaga in the MORSE Research Group, Where he is involved in 5G and 6G software development for network orchestration, automation, testing and experimentation in projects such as 6G-SANDBOX and EVOLVED-5G projects.
